வரலக்ஷ்மி வ்ரதம்

வரலக்ஷ்மி வ்ரதமானது ஶ்ராவண மாதம் ஶுக்ல பக்ஷத்திலுள்ள ஒரு வெள்ளிக்கிழமையன்று தேஶாசாரப்படி தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டு அனுஷ்டிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த வ்ரதத்தில், அனைத்து மங்களங்களையும் வரங்களாக அளிக்கும் தேவி வரலக்ஷ்மி வழிபடப்படுகிறாள்.

முந்தைய நாளே பூஜா மண்டபம் அலங்காரங்களுடன் அமைக்கப்படுகிறது. மாலை பெண்கள் தேவியை முறைப்படி அழைத்து வரவழைக்கின்றனர். பாரம்பரியமாக தேவியானவள் அவளது முகத்தினால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட கலஶத்தில் வழிபடப்படுகிறாள்.

அந்த நாள் ஆஹார நியமங்களுடன் வ்ரதமாக கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. தேவிக்கு பூஜை செய்த பிறகு, அனைத்து மங்களங்களுக்காகவும் வேண்டிக்கொண்டு ஒன்பது முடிச்சுகள் உள்ள தோரகம் என்னும் கயிறு வலது கையில் கட்டிக்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.

நமது ஶ்ரீ காமகோடி ஜகத்குரு ஶங்கராசார்யர்களின் அனுக்ரஹத்தை முன்னிட்டு, இந்த வ்ரதத்தை ஆஸ்திகர்கள் அனுஷ்டிக்க பல லிபிகளில் பூஜா பத்ததியும் கதையும் வெளியிடப்படுகிறது.

Varalakshmi Vratam

Varalakshmi Vratam is performed on a Shukra Vara in the Shukla Paksha of the Shravana month decided as per deshachara. In this vratam, Devi Varalakshmi who bestows the boons of all that is auspicious is worshipped.

On the previous day itself, the the puja mantapa is prepared with decorations. In the evening the women ceremonially invite and bring in the Devi. Traditionally the Devi is worshipped in a kalasha which is decorated with Her face.

The day is observed as a vrata with food restrictions. After doing puja to the Devi, a sutra called doraka with nine knots is tied on the right hand, praying for all auspiciousness.

With the anugraha of our Shri Kamakoti Jagadguru Shankaracharya-s, a the puja paddhati and katha is published in multiple scripts for astika-s to observe this vrata.
